田黃印章昂貴而稀有。整體為淡柔黃色，石質具田坑石特征。橘皮紅田為上三坂所產。色素以紅，黃為主，尤以深紅居多。色似紅橘皮，而紅得更深更濃，似紅琥珀，但比琥珀溫婉可親。肌理蘊極細致之蘿卜紋，綿密而欲化。其質純優，凝靈成凍，為田石中色度最飽和者。橘皮紅應為正紅田，占田石產量比例中最少部分，且材積多不盈兩，故極稀罕。材、形好的橘皮紅被列為田石的極品。
