葫蘆瓶，形似葫蘆的瓶式，自唐以來，因其諧音“福祿”，為民間所喜愛，遂成為傳統器形，及至明代嘉靖時，因皇帝好黃老之道，此器尤為盛行并多有變化。除傳統器形外，又有上圓下方式,蘊含天圓地方之意，品種有有青花、五彩、五彩描金、仿哥釉、茶葉末以及藍釉、白釉、黃釉等其他單色釉。紋飾大多帶有道教色彩，也有書寫吉祥文字的。
