晚清民國期間，江西景德鎮(zhèn)，這個以制作陶瓷出名的地方，聚集了許多創(chuàng)作瓷板畫的藝人。以瓷入畫，在瓷板上進(jìn)行彩繪。技法主要為中國畫，用筆在瓷板上繪出山水花鳥人物，顏色不同，形象各異。在景德鎮(zhèn)有許多制作瓷板畫的商社，其中以“珠山八友”最為出名，且最具有代表性。

郎世寧，1688年生，1766年逝世，意大利米蘭人。原名朱塞佩·伽斯底里奧內(nèi)。年輕時在歐洲學(xué)習(xí)繪畫，曾為教堂繪制圣像。
郎世寧在宮廷內(nèi)創(chuàng)作的《十犬圖》軸十幅，畫了十條品種高貴的名犬，分別命為；“霜花鷂”、“啖星狼"、“金翅獫”、 “蒼水虬”、 “墨玉璃”、 “茹黃豹”、 “雪爪盧”、“驀空鵲”、”斑錦彪"和“蒼猊犬”。
此畫作距今一百三十年，屬于珠山八友風(fēng)格，使用黃銅描金工藝，色彩顏料采用天然礦物顏料，這些礦物顏料大多來自綠松石、青金石、瑪瑙、孔雀石等我們熟知的珠寶玉石，通過傳統(tǒng)工藝研磨加工后其獨特的自然色調(diào)和千年不變的穩(wěn)定性深受藝術(shù)家和畫師們的喜愛。 從畫面上所題寫的字句來看，這些名犬，大都是周遍各個部落的首領(lǐng)或地方官進(jìn)獻(xiàn)給皇帝的。從畫面上看，圖中的犬，無疑是由畫家郎世寧所繪,因為狗采用的是西方的素描畫法造型立體具有質(zhì)感，歐洲風(fēng)味很足;而圖畫背景部分的花草坡石，講究皴法、勾勒,追求平面的裝飾效果，與動物的畫法相比較，二者有很大的差異，這應(yīng)當(dāng)是由供奉宮廷的中國畫家用傳統(tǒng)畫法補畫的，但署名只有郎世寧人。

Lang shining, born in 1688, died in 1766, from Milan, Italy. The original name is Giuseppe gasterione. When I was young, I studied painting in Europe and used to draw holy images for churches.
Lang shining created ten pictures of ten dogs in the palace, with ten famous dogs of noble breed, named respectively: "frost flower harrier", "eat star wolf", "golden winged dog", "cangshui Qiu", "Mo Yuli", "Ru Huangbao", "snow claw Lu", "suddenly empty magpie", "ban Jinbiao" and "Cang receiving dog".
This painting has a history of 130 years. It belongs to the style of eight friends of Zhushan mountain. It uses brass gold drawing technology and natural mineral pigments. Most of these mineral pigments come from turquoise, lapis lazuli, agate, malachite and other well-known gems and jades.
