紫砂壺行情再度發燒并非偶然。早在上世紀80年代，港臺一些藏家大量購藏紫砂壺，使得其市場價格直線上漲，上世紀80年代末逐漸回落。隨著國人的錢袋子越來越富足，精品紫砂壺開始成為各路藏家追捧的對象。“2010年至2012年，高級工藝師制作的紫砂壺價格普遍以每年30%至50% 的幅度攀升，個別名家名壺的價格更是成倍飆升。”半島收藏協會會長王濤說，其中獨領風騷的當屬上世紀90年代中期辭世的紫砂泰斗顧景舟的作品了。2012年顧景舟的“提璧壺”、“雙圈壺”、“虛扁壺”分別以1288萬元、1150萬元、943萬元成交，總價超過3300萬元。

In 2012, Gu Jingzhou's "Tibi pot", "double circle pot" and "virtual flat pot" were sold at 12.88 million yuan, 11.5 million yuan and 9.43 million yuan respectively, with a total price of more than 33 million yuan.
