馮超然（1882-1954），名迥，字超然，以字行，號滌舸，別署嵩山居士，晚號慎得，晚年寓居上海嵩山路，署其居為嵩山草堂，江蘇常州人。自童年始酷愛繪畫，十三、四歲賣畫已有所收。早年精仕女，以唐寅、仇英為法；晚年專攻山水；好吟蚑，工行草篆隸，偶刻印；好交友，與吳昌碩、吳湖帆、顧鶴逸、陸廉夫多往還。三、四十年代，與吳湖帆、吳待秋、吳子深在上海畫壇有“三吳一馮”之稱。
