葆楨是一位取材廣泛的花鳥畫家，猶以畫葡萄最享盛譽(yù)。他的葡萄畫用焦墨枯筆草書入畫，大寫意出藤蔓、枝干，顆顆葡萄融合了西畫色彩的特長，既充分利用生宣的浸潤性能和水、墨推拒的天然效果，又運用色彩的濃淡變化，并在葡萄中間留出高光點，這一獨特的表現(xiàn)手法使他筆下的葡萄水分飽滿、豐盛充盈、墨彩交輝、生動自然。墨彩交輝、氣韻生動、意境清新、雅俗共賞的藝術(shù)效果，深為廣大群眾所喜愛。
傳統(tǒng)畫葡萄之法，有工筆和寫意兩種，繪果實往往采用工筆，工筆即用勾勒添色和沒骨暈染，因而葡萄缺乏透明的質(zhì)感，顯得死板。而寫意則體現(xiàn)于藤子之上，采用書法筆法，象寫篆書、行書、草書，追求筆力的縱橫于揮灑自如。徐渭、張書旂所作葡萄，重在展示藤葉的疏放與瀟灑，或是借此表露個人落拓不拘的性格，對累累果實關(guān)注較少。蘇先生關(guān)注的恰恰就是前人忽略的部分，他認(rèn)為應(yīng)該表現(xiàn)那粒粒飽滿晶瑩的淺紫色或深墨色的葡萄串展示其豐盈充實之美。蘇先生以“師造化”為起點，以“師傳統(tǒng)”為基石，以“師心”為終極，創(chuàng)造出了獨樹一幟的葡萄圖而享譽(yù)海內(nèi)外。
蘇先生不拘限使用水墨畫葡萄，還運用花青、曙紅、胭脂、藤黃相調(diào)配，畫出紫色葡萄和綠色葡萄，并將紫、墨、綠三色畫出不同顏色的葡萄串，配以籃子、盤子或各色花卉，表現(xiàn)不同情狀下的葡萄。蘇先生對葡萄藤葉和藤本的處理，采用了書法的運筆，顯示其蒼勁有力和新鮮茂盛。
蘇葆幀畫作在其離世之后，極少在市面上流通，價值一路增高， 此幅《碩果豐盛》為蘇葆幀典型的葡萄畫作，具有很高的藝術(shù)觀賞價值和收藏價值。

The grapes made by Xu Wei and Zhang Shuqi focus on the display of the release and unrestrained of rattan leaves, or on the display of the unrestrained personality of individuals, and pay less attention to the fruits. Mr. Su's attention is precisely what the
predecessors have neglected. He thinks that it should show the full and crystal light purple or dark ink grape clusters to show their rich and full beauty. Mr. Su is famous at home and abroad for his unique grape map, which is based on the "teacher's tradition" and "teacher's heart".
Mr. Su did not limit himself to using ink to draw grapes. He also used Huaqing, eosin, rouge and rattan to mix and draw purple grapes and green grapes. He also drew grape strings of different colors in three colors of purple, ink and green, with baskets, plates or flowers of different colors to show grapes in different situations. Mr. Su's treatment of grapevine leaves and vines, with the use of calligraphy, shows that it is vigorous, powerful and fresh.
After his death, Su baoframed paintings rarely circulated on the market, and their value increased all the way. This painting of "fruitful fruit" is a typical grape painting of Su baoframed, which has high artistic value and collection value.
