正面文字為四川銅幣四字，中間飾有海棠花紋，上緣書“軍政府造”四字，下緣為當制錢一百文，標明了幣值。左右各飾一朵花星紋。背面上緣有中華民國元年六字。中央有一個圈，圈中書以一個篆文“漢”字。圈外環繞有十八個小圈，代表當時十八個省份，十八個圈圍繞“漢”字，寓意十八省人民團結起來共同戰斗。四川軍政府發行的貨幣，目的在于籌措軍餉，維持政府開支，所以極具較高的收藏歷史意義。由于古錢幣不在發行，現存量稀少，加上于當時人們生活密不可分，于研究各國的經濟史、外交史等，都是極為重要的史料，所以具有很高的收藏和考古價值。
