The copper coins of the Qing Dynasty began to be minted in 1900, that is, in the 26th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty. However, due to the unrestrained minting of copper coins in various provinces, in 1905, that is, in the 31st year of Guangxu, the household Mint established by the Qing government in Tianjin began to mint the new copper coins of the Qing Dynasty. The main purpose is to rectify and unify the currency system, try to nationalize the Seigniorage and strengthen the control.
In 1911 (the third year of Xuantong period), a new set of copper coins was introduced, still known as "Qing Dynasty copper coins". There are twenty, ten, five, two and one kinds of copper coins. The exchange value of money making and silver yuan is cast above five to make up for the deficiency of the first set of new copper coins. However, before the currency reform plan was fully implemented (only ten Wen and one Wen of copper yuan entered the circulation field), the revolution of 1911 broke out and the Qing Dynasty was destroyed.
The coins of the Qing Dynasty, which are the tenth coin in Hubu, are covered with the rust endowed by history, but the decoration information of the coins can still be seen. On the front of the coin, there are four characters of "Qing Dynasty copper coins" in the bead circle, and a word of e in the bulge of the coin center, which is the abbreviation of Hubei Province. On the outside of the bead circle, there are Manchu characters, indicating that the coin was cast in the year of Guangxu 32. There are two characters of "Hubu" on the left and right, indicating the coin The lower ring is covered with rust, but its currency value can still be seen as "when making money in ten words".
