咸豐后期，大錢鑄造很亂，失去了市場(chǎng)信譽(yù)。白銀開(kāi)始和銅錢一起流通。寶福局鑄造的計(jì)重五兩當(dāng)一百錢，計(jì)重二兩五錢當(dāng)五十開(kāi)始流通。鑄母，顧名思義是用雕母壓印鑄造的，用于壓印制模的母錢。雕母只有一枚，而鑄母錢幣需要幾十枚，工匠用鑄母操作印模制版。因此，1、鑄母很厚，便與工人手持操作，2、鑄母有拔模斜度，便于脫模，防止傷害模板。三、材質(zhì)精好光潔，保證印模質(zhì)量。這種錢是鑄造的，可能經(jīng)過(guò)精修，但是不能稱之為雕母。咸豐內(nèi)外計(jì)重錢幣，是中國(guó)古錢極罕見(jiàn)的背文形式。能收藏到“鑄母錢”當(dāng)然是所見(jiàn)甚難。咸豐重寶一百計(jì)重五兩，此為一品寶福局咸豐重寶北緣紀(jì)重錢。其當(dāng)值一百，緣邊內(nèi)鑄刻“記重五兩”。此式錢，較之外記重錢而言。遺存要少，屬于相對(duì)更為珍貴的寶福局紀(jì)重大錢。從品相察之，其黃銅材質(zhì)。包漿厚重，層次分明，猶如披掛甲胄，硬秀疊峰，可抗刃擊。此自然天成之包漿你，己致大開(kāi)其門，莽莽武夷山脈直入眼底。而觀其鑄體，邊圓廊正，坦平地章，穿緣廊干凈。優(yōu)良鑄工，更顯字廊深竣，精整有加。品賞其錢文，可見(jiàn)寶福錢之特有山谷體端美亮眼，十分耐賞，其乃寶福關(guān)制之品，可謂當(dāng)之無(wú)愧矣。
