糧票是特殊經(jīng)濟(jì)條件下的歷史產(chǎn)物，票面題材廣泛，印制精細(xì)，具有時(shí)間性、地域性的特點(diǎn)。經(jīng)年累月的歲月侵蝕，更使這種具有不可復(fù)制性的票證文物日漸稀少，珍品迭出，長(zhǎng)期為海內(nèi)外收藏愛(ài)好者所矚目。
另外，有些發(fā)行于解放戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)時(shí)期的公糧票，是解放戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)時(shí)期革命軍隊(duì)在人民群眾支持下浴血奮戰(zhàn)的歷史見(jiàn)證，具有重要的紀(jì)念意義和收藏價(jià)值。
糧票的價(jià)值也是要看品相和存世量的，不過(guò)糧票這種有價(jià)證券，流通廣，存世量大，當(dāng)時(shí)幾乎每家每戶都有不少，這是它跟郵票最大的不一樣。我國(guó)的糧票種類數(shù)量有“世界之最”之稱，全國(guó)2500多個(gè)市縣，還有一些鎮(zhèn)、鄉(xiāng)都分別發(fā)放和使用了各種糧票，進(jìn)行計(jì)劃供應(yīng)，還有一些大企業(yè)、廠礦、農(nóng)場(chǎng)、學(xué)校、部隊(duì)、公社等也印發(fā)了各種糧票，種類繁多。糧票中比較有收藏價(jià)值的是一些軍用糧票和早期發(fā)行的地方糧票,很少見(jiàn),價(jià)格較高，
在各地的糧票當(dāng)中，海南糧票是最難找的，存世量也最少。海南最早的糧票為1954年發(fā)行的“海南行政公署糧票”。這種糧票連海南省糧食局都沒(méi)有存檔，太稀少。 而軍用糧票也是比較稀少的品種，而且種類多，從1951年的“軍用支糧證”到2000年，糧食部、商業(yè)部、國(guó)內(nèi)貿(mào)易部和國(guó)家糧食局先后9次印刷、發(fā)行過(guò)不同版面的軍用糧票，而且不光是糧票，還有面粉、大米、粗糧、馬料等等，極具收藏價(jià)值，

除了全套糧票的不同面額均為水印糧票外，還有許多地方糧票，只有部分帶水印圖案。這部分水印糧票，要么是整套糧票中的部分面額為水印糧票，要么是某種面額里部分糧票為水印糧票。例如全國(guó)糧票65年版（小套5枚），均是水印票，但其中未發(fā)行的2兩還有無(wú)水印的，故大套為6枚；全國(guó)糧票66年版（小套4枚），其中3斤分有水印和無(wú)水印2種版別，5斤有3種，有水印的還分2種和無(wú)水印1種，大套為7枚；全國(guó)糧票78年版未發(fā)行票（全套5枚）均有水印；全國(guó)糧票82年版未發(fā)行票（全套2枚）均有水印；具有重要的紀(jì)念意義和收藏價(jià)值。
