光緒元寶是大清光緒年流通大面值貨幣之首，是我國首批引進海外技術的印發流通貨幣，對于現今也蘊藏了一定歷史意義。北洋造光緒元寶北洋龍洋在中國近代機器鑄幣史上屬一個大系列，其鑄期歷時甚長（從光緒22年—光緒34年[1896至1908年]），歷經十余載，幣模幾經更替，即使同一鑄造年份亦往往由于修模、幣材、工藝技術、工廠管理等諸多因素，造成版別異常繁雜。
Guangxu Yuanbao is the first currency with large face value circulating in Guangxu, Qing Dynasty. It is the first batch of currency to be issued and circulated by introducing overseas technology in China. It also has certain historical significance for today. Beiyang Longyang, the Yuanbao of Guangxu made by Beiyang, belongs to a large series in the history of modern machine coinage in China. The period of its coinage is very long (from 22nd year of Guangxu to 34th year of Guangxu [1896-1908]). After more than ten years, the coinage has been changed several times. Even in the same year of coinage, it is often complicated due to many factors such as mold repair, coin material, technology, factory management, etc.

清代光緒三十三年(1907年)云南省銀元局鑄造，俗稱“老云南光緒元寶”。錢幣正面珠圈內鐫滿漢文“光緒元寶”四字，珠圈外上端鐫漢文“云南省造”四字，下端鐫漢文“庫平三錢六分”六個字，左右兩側各鐫一個七花星。錢背：正中蟠龍圖，左右各一七點花星。蟠龍為長須龍，眼神靈異炯炯有神;龍鱗雕刻細密有致，騰云駕霧，身姿遒勁有力;龍爪張揚，神武有力;龍身盤踞太陽，盡展皇家威嚴大氣。此蟠龍圖 是中國所有龍洋圖案錢幣(包括國外發行的所有錢幣)中，工藝最精湛，雕工最完美，浮雕感最強烈的品種，鏡面平整光滑，紋飾的相慣線，顯得非常清晰。
In the 33rd year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1907), silver dollar Bureau of Yunnan Province was cast, commonly known as the "old Guangxu Yuanbao of Yunnan Province". On the obverse of the coin, the four characters of "Guangxu Yuanbao" in Chinese are engraved inside the bead circle, on the top of the bead circle is engraved with the four characters of "made in Yunnan Province", on the bottom is engraved with the six characters of "Kuping three coins and six minutes", on the left and right sides are engraved with a seven flower star. Qian Bei: in the middle of the picture, there are 17 flower stars on each side. Pan Long is a long bearded dragon with bright eyes; the Dragon scales are carved in a fine and delicate way, flying through the clouds, with strong and powerful posture; the Dragon claws are publicized and powerful; the dragon body is in the sun, displaying the royal majesty. This flat dragon picture is the most exquisite, the most perfect sculptor and the most intense relief type among all the Dragon ocean coins (including all the coins issued abroad) in China. The mirror surface is flat and smooth, and the lines of patterns are very clear.
