清代廣東省造光緒元寶
光緒元寶,清朝光緒年間流通的貨幣之一。由兩廣總督張之洞率先引進(jìn)英國(guó)鑄幣機(jī)器鑄造銀元和銅元,之后各省紛紛仿效。共有十九個(gè)省局鑄造,除中央戶部,地方省所鑄銅元,皆在其正面上緣鐫寫(xiě)省名。光緒元寶是大清光緒年流通大面值貨幣之首,是我國(guó)首批引進(jìn)海外技術(shù)的印發(fā)流通貨幣,對(duì)于現(xiàn)今也蘊(yùn)藏了一定歷史意義。

清末銅價(jià)劇漲,民間毀錢(qián)為銅,以獲數(shù)倍之利,市面出現(xiàn)錢(qián)荒。廣東因停鑄制錢(qián),市面制錢(qián)日乏,小額流通十分不便。為救錢(qián)荒,同時(shí)受香港銅元及外幣影響,光緒26年6月,兩廣總督德壽與前總督李鴻章奏準(zhǔn)廣東仿香港銅仙鑄造機(jī)制銅元。故清代機(jī)制銅元的鑄造由廣東伊始。繼而福建、江蘇、四川等省相繼鑄銅元。以紅銅95%、白鉛4%、錫1%配合,每枚重二錢(qián)。古錢(qián)幣極具觀賞性與歷史價(jià)值,因此古錢(qián)幣如同其他古玩一樣被藏家們所青睞。中國(guó)最早的機(jī)制洋式銀元為光緒年間的“光緒元寶”,俗稱“龍洋”,因銅幣背面,一般鑄有龍紋而得名。
