大清銅幣鑄造始于1900年（清光緒二十六年），止于1911年（宣統(tǒng)三年），造流通時(shí)間盡管只有十余年，但其鼎盛時(shí)期全國(guó)共有十七省二十局開機(jī)鑄造銅圓。如以細(xì)微區(qū)別劃分，其版式在千種以上。流通時(shí)間較短。因其版面設(shè)計(jì)優(yōu)雅，雕刻精良，且存世量極為稀少，大清銅幣光緒年戶部造當(dāng)十被譽(yù)為中國(guó)近代制幣中的十大名譽(yù)品之一。 其之所以名氣大，是由于它的歷史性和珍稀性決定的。大清銅幣版式繁多，尤以當(dāng)十者為最。多位清帝在位時(shí)發(fā)行過(guò)銅幣來(lái)作為流通貨幣，使交易逐漸便利起來(lái)。銅幣的使用具有重要的現(xiàn)實(shí)意義和歷史意義，也具有一定的收藏價(jià)值，許多收藏家對(duì)大清銅幣愛(ài)不釋手，而收集多種多樣的銅幣已經(jīng)成為了他們的目標(biāo)。

此藏品為“大清銅幣丁未當(dāng)制錢十文”，錢幣正面珠圈內(nèi)書“大清銅幣”四字直讀，珠圈外上環(huán)鑄滿文，左右分書“丁未”二字紀(jì)年，下環(huán)鑄幣值“當(dāng)制錢十文”五字；正面文字清秀俊美，大氣磅礴。錢幣背面珠圈內(nèi)鑄蟠龍紋飾，珠圈外上環(huán)書年份，下環(huán)繞英文字樣。龍紋打造深峻清晰，文字和圖案都自然細(xì)膩，深淺合適，包漿渾厚，鑄造精湛。經(jīng)歲月洗禮流傳，錢幣表面雖有磨損，但不影響其整體美感，反而多了一分歷史滄桑感，歷史沉淀豐富，過(guò)渡性自然，歷史價(jià)值深厚。
