廣東省造雙龍壽字光緒元寶,此幣鑄于光緒三十一年(1905)初,為紀(jì)念慈禧七十壽辰而鑄。張炯伯在《廣東省造銀幣》一文中寫道:“惟本品因未紀(jì)年,殊難遽斷,然觀其圖案,諧作福壽,環(huán)繞雙龍,幕無英文,意含頌祝,大異常制。由此以推,成為紀(jì)念幣之一種,專鑄以祝慈禧太后七旬萬壽者也。”

但據(jù)清末王述生所著《述庵秘錄》的記載,也有學(xué)者認(rèn)為系光緒二十年(1894年)廣東巡撫剛毅為祝慈禧太后六十壽辰而鑄造的祝壽幣,“此幣原擬鑄造三萬枚,實鑄額不詳。”剛毅預(yù)備將錢幣作為贈禮運(yùn)送至北京,但并未運(yùn)送,三萬枚錢幣幾乎全部被融化,僅留下少量十余枚作為樣品封存。以上兩種觀點(diǎn)都說這種錢幣是為慶賀慈禧壽辰之幣,區(qū)別在于60大壽和70大壽。

此枚廣東省造光緒元寶庫平重一兩樣幣,也稱廣東省造雙龍壽字幣樣幣,錢幣正面內(nèi)環(huán)中央為“光緒元寶”及滿文,外環(huán)珠圈,上緣紀(jì)地文字為“廣東省造”。下緣紀(jì)值文字為“庫平重壹兩”為柳體楷書,左右兩側(cè)各鑄有一蝙蝠圖案,蝙蝠圖案和正面的珠圈、中文和滿文一樣,都是立體的凸現(xiàn)出于幣面,有很強(qiáng)的立體感,外環(huán)上緣為“COIN SILVER SANVPLE ”,下緣為“CIRCULATION NO”銀幣背面珠圈內(nèi)環(huán)鑄有雙龍戲珠圖案,圖案精細(xì)傳神,栩栩如生;珠圈里面鑄有一圓形“壽”字,外環(huán)為:“銀樣幣 禁止流通”。這是清代官鑄機(jī)制銀幣所慣用的陽紋版式,極其罕見。此枚樣幣目前還未面世,存世量極為稀少,視為珍惜樣幣。

This sample coin has not been published yet, and its quantity of existence is extremely rare, so it is regarded as a treasure sample coin.
