One or two samples of Qing Dynasty gold coins were made in the year of Bingwu of Guangxu. In 1906, Tianjin mint of Hubu of Guangxu made a trial production of pure gold. It was a collection of coins with perfect luster and superior quality. In 1906, the General Factory of Jindun Guangxu trial produced the "Qing gold coin". The coin was engraved with the emperor's name and made in the year of Guangxu Bingwu. The gold coin was rebuilt in the year of the next year and changed to Dingwei (1907). This is the first gold coin made in the name of the central government in China and the only one in the Qing Dynasty.

At that time, China's gold mining volume was very low, and the quantity was not enough to support the issuance of gold coins, so the two Qing gold coins ended up with nothing. Although the files of the two gold coins were not disclosed, Li Boqi's account in the examination of Chinese gold coins published in volume 4, issue 6 of the style of study in 1934 is of great reference value: "the gold coins of the Qing Dynasty, made by Guangxu Bingwu and dingweinian, are Japanese carved models, slightly larger than the general silver yuan, with red gold, one or two gold coins in heavy storage, with dragon patterns on the back, and" Qing gold "on the surface Four characters of "coin", around "Bingwu" or "Dingwei", and under "one or two" "... when Yuan Xiang was directly in charge of the city, he cast thousands of pieces to present them to Empress Dowager Cixi, saying:" they are used for the reward of the year of Cisheng. " In fact, the officials bribed their monarchs. There is no basis in the regulations of currency system. Therefore, it is called currency, which is not really called currency. Among them, those who live in exile are mostly sold in silver mansions or transformed hairpins. Therefore, although there are many casts, there are few in the world.
The gold coin in the picture is that of Ding weinian of Guangxu, with inscriptions and patterns on both sides. There are double lines on the front and double beads on the inner. On the top, the characters "Guangxu Ding Wei Nian Zao" were cast on the right, and on the bottom, the characters "Kuping one or two" were read on the right. Inside the bead circle, read the words "Qing gold coin" in regular script. On the back of the coin, there is a golden dragon with five claws on the obverse. Auspicious clouds surround it. On the outside, there are two thin lines, and on the inside, there is a bead ring. The shape of the gold coin in Qing Dynasty is close to the new type of coin, but the inscription on the coin still shows that it is not completely separated from the "weighing currency" system.
”The value of gold coins in Qing Dynasty can be seen from the discussion of the chief of spring kingdom. In the 18th issue of spring coin in May 1943, Zhang Yunbo obtained a silver coin of Changping three coins from Jilin Province in 1920. After meeting with rose, an Italian diplomat, he was willing to exchange it with a pair of gold coins of Bingwu and dingweiqing. In the 1940s, the price of Changping silver coins was the same as before, and it was not easy to get ten thousand gold coins for each gold coin. In the 20th issue of spring coin in September 1943, Dai Baoting mentioned that Dingwei's gold coins "and Bingwu gold coin is a rare product. "At that time, there were not many gold coins, but the gold standard system was not determined. It flowed into the hands of the Philistines, and many of them were melted into ornaments. The Epiphyllum was in a bubble. You can also sigh.
