丁觀鵬:清代畫家,藝術活動于康熙末期至乾隆中期,順天(今北京)人。雍正四年(1726)進入宮廷成為供奉畫家,他擅長畫人物、山水,亦能作肖像,畫風工整細致,受到歐洲繪畫的影響,其弟丁觀鶴同時供奉內廷。
Ding guan-peng: a painter of the qing dynasty who lived in shuntian (now Beijing) from the end of kangxi to the middle of qianlong. In the fourth year of yongzheng (1726), he entered the court and became an enshrine painter. He was good at painting figures, landscapes and portraits. His painting style was neat and meticulous.
此圖雖丁觀鵬瓷板畫萬佛朝宗,其實應為如來佛圖。用金粉畫佛像,面容慈祥,頭現佛光,以示功德無量。祥云朵朵,周圍站立四大金剛及佛祖兩大弟子伽葉、阿難,前有女信徒合掌,旁立哼、哈二將。線條工細,佛像臉部、手部及蓮座,均用暈染法,顯出明暗凹凸之感。衣紋流暢,形象各異。

當年佛祖在靈山講經說法,天、地、人三界菩薩列席聆聽,有很多位佛、菩薩去見佛祖,這個‘去見佛祖’就是朝宗。萬佛朝宗便指佛祖講經的盛況。丁觀鵬,清代畫家,藝術活動于康熙末期至乾隆中期,北京人。胡敬《國朝院畫錄》謂:“觀鵬克傳家學。”工道釋、人物,尤擅仙佛、神像,以宋人為法,不尚奇詭,學明代的丁云鵬筆法,有出藍之譽。
