據(jù)前史記載，其時乾隆出游，歷經(jīng)一座小城。入一家飯館用餐。其時坐的方位靠窗，聽見對面叮 叮的敲響聲。其撤頭看到一位老者在雕琢一件石獅子。方法相當(dāng)熟悉，時日不長，一件繪聲繪色的獅子變產(chǎn)生了。此獅子全身潔白，臉部炯炯有神。其時乾隆爺就大加欣賞，派隨從把那位老者和石獅子傳喚過來。乾隆皇帝用手觸摸了一下，手感細滑，質(zhì)地像玉。其因為觸摸得并不多，便問“你用的啥原料雕琢的？”老者答道，這石頭是一個兄弟從新疆帶過來的，具體這一塊是啥原料我也說不出來。原料像玉，但是硬度比玉要軟。雕琢起來比玉更好上手。乾隆皇帝瞬間起了興趣，跟老者說道，“此類原料你這邊還有么？” 老者說還有一些，乾隆皇帝說那你給我雕琢一件。老者說我剩余的原料不多只能雕一件小件，您計劃雕啥外型？前面說道乾隆皇帝喜愛瓷器 于是講到，那么就做成盤的外型吧。 老者領(lǐng)命后開端雕琢。不到半日一件碗的外型就雕琢好了。問乾隆爺要不要雕啥字體在上面。乾隆皇帝講到，底部就刻乾隆年制吧。此時，老者才知道，原來面前這位是當(dāng)朝皇帝。老者想做的更漂亮 一點，就以篆體的方式刻出了“乾隆孝粉”四字。這就是乾隆孝粉漢白玉碗的由來！
