福建官局造光緒元寶銅幣造于光緒二十六年至三十一年（1900～1905年），“光緒年間閩省所需銀元均由粵省供應，維因路途遙遠，往返費時，運匯多費，勞民傷財。閩督準商人孫利用集股購機，就在閩地試鑄。
