中華民國八年黎元洪像紀念幣，正面為黎元洪免冠肖像，身著西裝，頸系領結，正面無文。背面主體是中華民國交叉雙旗，分別為包括武昌起義標志的旗幟和“五色旗”。上方為“中華民國八年紀念“八字。此幣設計美觀，鑄工精良，傳世稀少，殊為珍貴。

黎元洪，字宋卿，湖北黃陂人，清末任湖北新軍二十一混成協(協相當于旅)統領。1911年10月10日武昌起義后，黎元洪從一個和革命毫無 關系的舊軍人被推舉到擔任湖北軍政府大都督的位置上，南京臨時政府成立時，他當選為副總統。1914年他擔任參政院院長，他由副總統繼任大總統，后曾一度被迫下臺。1922年，他受直系軍閥支持，又復任總統。黎元洪在20世紀初，從一個舊軍人到二次擔任副總統、總 統，也可謂風云一時了。
