楊力舟，1942年生于山西臨猗。畫家。兼擅油畫、中國畫、書法、美術評論。先后畢業于西安美術學院、中央美術學院。曾參與籌建中國畫研究院。中國美協顧問，中央文史研究館館員，中國國家畫院顧問、院委、研究員。歷任中國美協常務理事、副主席。文化部藝術局美術處處長，文化部高級職稱評審委員，中國文聯委員，中國美術館館長。
