王濤，著名人物畫家，當代寫意人物畫壇的代表之一。現任中國畫學會副會長。1943年生于安徽合肥 ，原名王守信，號獨天齋主，寄醉園主，字問溪亭茶客。1967年畢業于安徽師范大學藝術系美術專業班。1979-1982年中國美術學院（原浙江美院）國畫人物研究生班畢業。王濤先生于1985年后，曾出任安徽省書畫院院長、安徽省美術家協會副主席、中國美術家協會理事、中國美協中國畫藝委會委員、中國國家畫院研究員、中國畫學會常務理事、中央文史研究館書畫院藝委會委員、國家一級美術師，享受國務院授予有特殊貢獻的政府津貼。
Wang Tao, a famous figure painter, is one of the representatives of contemporary freehand figure painting. The current vice president of the Chinese Painting Society. Since 1985, Mr. Wang Tao has served as the President of the Anhui Provincial Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, the Vice Chairman of the Anhui Artists Association, a member of the China Artists Association, a member of the Chinese Painting Art Committee of the China Artists Association, a researcher at the National Painting Academy of China, an executive director of the Chinese Painting Society, and the Central Committee. Member of the Art Committee of the Painting and Calligraphy Institute of the Museum of Cultural History, a national first-class artist, enjoys government subsidies granted by the State Council with special contributions.
