在日本的貨幣歷史中，有一款特殊的錢幣。它的鑄造發(fā)行時(shí)期最長、版本最多，同時(shí)也是在我國市場上流通過的一款貨幣。這就是寬永通寶。
日本寬永三年，水尾天皇在其即位的第二年開始鑄造發(fā)行寬永通寶。在當(dāng)時(shí)，日本鑄幣不受管制，大多地方均設(shè)有私人錢爐鑄幣。這款貨幣由寬永時(shí)代發(fā)行，直至明治時(shí)代還在使用，一共在日本歷史上流通了240余年，最后在德川幕府時(shí)代徹底退出流通市場。也正是因?yàn)榇丝铄X幣在長時(shí)間流通中積累了極高的信譽(yù)度，寬永通寶錢在古代中日貿(mào)易中流入我國在市場流通，至今在我國各地均有發(fā)現(xiàn)其存留。

在今天的收藏市場上，此款錢幣是較為少見的。這其中不單單只因?yàn)樗峭鈦碡泿诺脑颉Ｔ谇迩〕跄辏俑畱岩蓪捰劳▽毷撬借T錢，還另用"年號"，這無異于謀反。于是乾隆皇帝諭令江、浙、閩各總督、巡撫窮治開爐造賣之人，同時(shí)大量回收銷毀寬永通寶。最后兩江總督尹繼善和江蘇巡撫莊有恭因?yàn)橹肋@枚錢幣的來龍去脈，才上報(bào)皇帝，了解此事。但是從此禁止攜帶倭錢，官方統(tǒng)一回收此款錢幣，所以現(xiàn)在的寬永通寶存世量極為稀少。
