宣統元寶是清朝貨幣名，是宣統年間發行的宣統年號銀圓。宣統三年大清銀幣為前清之正式國幣，原期辛亥十月發行。尚未發行，武昌事起，國體忽變。已經解往度支部之銀幣成為北洋兩鎮鎮壓武昌新軍之餉。而寧廠所存銀幣（原期上海同期發行）及鄂廠所存之部分銀幣成為普通流通銀幣的一種。1889年，兩廣總督張之洞在廣東設造幣廠鑄造銀元。幣面中央是漢文“光緒元寶”四字，周圍有九個漢字“廣東省庫平七錢三分”，后改為七錢二分；背面為蟠龍花紋及英文，通稱“龍洋”。

曾委托匯豐銀行代鑄，并定出鑄幣章程，規定它的輕重大小及配合成色。分為五等：每元重七錢二分，配96%--97%足銀；次則三錢六分，減配96%--96%.7成足銀；再次則一錢四分四厘、七分二厘、三分六厘三種，均減配96%--96.4%足銀。這五等即是后來通稱的“一元”、“半元”（五角）、“二角”、“一角”及“五分”銀幣。起初僅在廣東、福建、天津等處流通，后來盛行于上海，這是中國自鑄近代銀元的開始。

東三省造宣統元寶庫平一錢四分四厘，直幣面上緣環書“東三省造”，下緣環書“庫平一錢四分四厘”。左右兩側各有一組三星，中星為一個大五角星，上下為各一個小五角星。中心由67顆珠圓圍成圓圈，內書“宣統元寶”中心為滿文“宣統元寶”，幣邊緣有齒成環。錢幣背面中心為全鱗蟠龍，龍口有珠，尾下少云。上緣環書英文FIRST YEAR OF HSUAN TUNG(紀年：宣統元年)；下緣環書：MANCHURIAN PROVINCES（東北省）幣中無“珠圓”，幣邊有細齒成環，邊道為直齒。此枚錢幣形制規整，質地優良，字體筆法流暢，紋飾刻制工細。
