民國十七年五月(1928年5月)，為慶祝貴陽到桐梓的公路通車，周西成責令貴州造幣廠鑄造發行了面值1元的貴州銀幣5萬枚。此枚中華(參數|圖片)民國十七年貴州銀幣壹圓即為其中之一。藏品直徑3.9厘米，重27克。正面中央為“貴州銀幣”，上銘“中華民國十七年”，下銘“壹圓”；背面中央為草地、汽車圖案，上銘“貴州省政府造”，下銘記重“七錢二分”，草地枝葉內組合了當時省政府主席周西成的“西成”二字。錢幣鑄造精良，無論內外齒，皆清晰分明，字口和紋飾皆為鼓凸，邊齒規范。其渾身上下，包漿自然熟舊，老相盎然。其最為獨特之處是，既采用了現代“壹圓”紀值，又采用了清代的“七錢二分”紀值，可謂封建與共和共存，別具政治和觀賞價值，且用汽車作銀幣圖案，是近代銀幣中絕無僅有的。此幣收藏價值極高，值得入手。
