In 1900 (the 26th year of Guangxu), the governor of Guangdong and Guangdong, Deshou, and Li Hongzhang, the former governor of Guangdong and Guangdong provinces, played quasi imitation of Hong Kong copper immortal to cast the machine-made copper circle. Compared with the square hole copper coin, the machine-made copper round is excellent in casting, convenient for commercial use and smooth in circulation. The next year, the Qing government ordered the coastal provinces along the river to allow imitations. After that, all over the country started casting copper. It was not cast until 1911 (Xuantong three years). Although the casting time is only more than ten years, there were 17 provinces and 20 bureaus in the peak period of casting copper. All of them are cast as ten copper circles, while the two, five and twenty copper circles are only cast by some provinces.
There are two main types of machine-made copper coins in Qing Dynasty: Guangxu Yuanbao and Qing copper coins. In 1905, the Qing government began to forge "Qing Dynasty copper coins" in order to make a copper circle in order to solve the disadvantages. Until the third year of Xuantong (1911), the copper circles made in this period had many characters of Qing Dynasty copper coins. The mints of the general mint are divided into "Hubu" and "Ganzhi chronological characters" on the obverse and left and right respectively, and "Hubu" is removed in the later period. Only the Ganzhi chronological characters are available, and the mints of various places are all cast in the middle of the obverse with English provincial names (and a few of them are in Yangwen) to show the difference. The bronze coins of the Qing Dynasty are mostly ancestral models issued by each household, so the reverse of the coins is a flat dragon, also known as the "Qing dragon", but there are also patterns of water dragon and sitting dragon, but there are few. There are four denominations of Qing Dynasty copper coins: when they are double four, when they are five times one, when they are ten times two, when they are twenty times four.
