汪野亭的作品早、中、晚期風格各異,特點突出。早期作品追隨程門、金品卿等淺絳彩名家技法,采用“洋彩”畫瓷,并逐漸摸索粉彩色料的調配以及使用方法,開創了用線細密,具淺絳彩風格的早期粉彩山水畫;中期作品構圖嚴謹,線條流暢灑脫;晚年作品用線粗獷,色彩明快,極顯蒼古與奔放之勢。此副山水四條屏瓷板畫,共四塊屬上品。山水構圖虛實相生,筆墨疏秀清潤,山石尤稱佳妙,淡皴濃苔,毫鋒穎脫,墨法精微,令人嘆止。施彩秀麗清雅,設色雋永,較渾然蒼雅深厚之感。圖中所畫草亭、樹木、江岸、遠山等,用色鮮明,用筆古拙,筆法健勁,色彩絢麗,十分精彩。題款行書圓潤厚實,筆力蒼勁。繪畫題材與技法使用皆蕩漾出濃厚的文人意蘊。

汪野亭(1884—1942),名平,字鑒,號平山、平生、老平、垂釣子,亦號傳芳居士,平山草堂主人,齋名平山草堂,江西省樂平縣人,近現代著名繪瓷藝家。為瓷都景德鎮20世紀20年代形成的珠山八友大師之一,工畫花鳥、山水。在繪瓷技法上,采用油料,以水粉敷色,作品別具一格。汪野亭是20世紀前期景德鎮陶瓷美術革故鼎新的著名陶瓷藝術家。他的山水畫,一直為后人所仰重、仿效,足足影響了半個多世紀。他從藝30多年從未離開過景德鎮,創作了許多代表那個時代的精美作品,受到了世界收藏.汪野亭山水畫構圖,以通景法為多。構思完整,布局講究,畫面多是翠峰煙云,路轉溪橋,景點連接安排合理,意境別開生面,這種山水通景畫法形式。因為通景畫法的布局,要根據器型轉折面的變化而變化,主景與配景的搭配穿插十分講究,二是汪氏畫山石多用折帶皴,用線如折彎的帶子,橫折層疊構成水邊巖石的特有結構,并且滲入斧劈皴的擦筆技巧,主次分明,皴、擦、點、染,形質俱佳,深濃淺淡,濕潤華滋,具備石質的重量感。
