瓷器是中國古代的偉大創(chuàng)造，青花瓷之美，更是讓世人嘆為觀止。青花瓷是用含氧化鈷的鈷礦為原料，在陶瓷坯體上描繪紋飾，加上一層透明釉，高溫還原焰一次燒成。其屬于釉下彩。鈷料燒成后呈藍色，著色力強，色彩鮮艷、穩(wěn)定，燒成率較高。成熟的青花瓷器出現(xiàn)在元代。明清時期青花成為中國瓷器的代表。景德鎮(zhèn)聞名于世，正是因為那千年盛燒不衰，永放不敗的青花藝術(shù)。

清朝時期的青花瓷色澤青翠光艷，清新明快，層次清晰，猶如寶石一樣鮮艷明亮，晶瑩光潤。青花紋飾取材范圍比較廣闊，花鳥魚蟲、人物山水無所不有，并具有突出的時代特征。改變了元代青花層次繁密的布局風(fēng)格及粗獷的畫法，裝飾上漸趨疏朗，規(guī)矩中富于變化。紋樣繪畫上，采用小筆渲染填色，由于筆小蘸料有限，需不斷重新蘸料繪畫，這樣就使得紋飾留下許多深淺濃淡的筆觸痕，增強了裝飾性。最常見的是以菊花、牡丹、蓮花等組合描繪在一起，而且往往是幾種花卉交錯重復(fù)使用。折枝花卉在青花瓷中較為多見。描繪流暢，線條粗獷，自由活潑，畫法布局根據(jù)器型變化，既靈活多變又有較強的規(guī)律性，顯示了當(dāng)時裝飾藝術(shù)的高超及繪畫功力的嫻熟。
