漢代時期(公元前206－公元前220年），制陶手工業在漢代得到很大發展，主要表現為泥料的選擇和配置越發的精細。無論是飲食器具還是儲藏類巨型用具都比較精細。器具上或刻或劃，或施彩或施釉，漢代大部分使用都是陶器，做工精細復雜，以后歷史時代使用的陶器很少能與漢代相比。陶器是國家珍藏，同樣也是瓷器的鼻祖。中國的所有瓷器都是在陶器的基礎上發展起來的，所以陶器有“瓷器之母”和“瓷器鼻祖”之稱。

此兩件藏品為漢代青釉陶罐。敞口，直領，溜肩，弧腹，平底。其為出土藏品，出土時均成青色，追溯歷史距今已有2000多年歷史矣。屬于青釉陶后受空氣氧化作用，顏色消失不見。可見年代久矣。同時一大一小，也稱為一龍一鳳。而從古至今龍和鳳代表著吉祥如意，龍鳳一起使用多表示喜慶之事，意旨龍鳳呈祥，吉祥物也。像這樣外觀精美、埋藏久遠、又保存如此完好的青釉陶罐，在出土文物中非常罕見。對研究漢代歷史和當時社會風俗具體重大意義，同時具有極高收藏價值。
