貨布乃是王莽建立新朝所發(fā)行的一系列錢幣之一，王莽當(dāng)政后，為了削弱漢朝舊族勢(shì)力，以及 對(duì)百姓的財(cái)富掠奪，他以“托古改制”為名進(jìn)行了一系列的幣制改革，其中包括有大布、貨布、第布八百、契刀五百、金錯(cuò)刀、大泉五十等等。刀幣和布幣都在改革中恢復(fù)，但從形態(tài)上與春秋戰(zhàn)國(guó)時(shí)的并不相同。由於幣制復(fù)雜混亂，導(dǎo)致民間交易很不順暢。并且每次改制的錢幣大小不斷縮小，價(jià)卻越來(lái)越高，實(shí)質(zhì)上剝削了普通民眾的財(cái)富。幣制改革的失敗也是新朝迅速滅亡的原因之一。盡管王莽的改革是失敗的，但他所發(fā)行的一系列錢幣卻是古錢史上的精品。布幣系列多采用懸針篆的字體，制作十分精美。
Huobu is one of a series of coins issued by Wang Mang in the establishment of a new dynasty. In order to weaken the power of the old Han Dynasty and plunder the wealth of the people, Wang Mang carried out a series of currency system reforms under the name of "system reform through ancient times", including Dabu, Huobu, Dibu 800, Qidao 500, jincuodao, Daquan 50, etc. Both Dao coins and cloth coins were recovered in the reform, but their forms were different from those in the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period. Due to the complexity and chaos of the currency system, private transactions are not smooth. The failure of monetary reform is also one of the reasons for the rapid demise of the new dynasty. Although Wang Mang's reform was unsuccessful, a series of coins he issued were the best in the history of ancient money. 公元9年，王莽篡漢，建立“新”朝，始建國(guó)二年（公元10年），進(jìn)行第三次貨幣改革，鑄六泉、十布，十布包括小布一百、幺布二百、幼布三百、序布四百、差布五百、中布六百、壯布七百、第布八百、次布九百和大布黃千共10種。文字精美，懸針篆，面文自右上起逆時(shí)針旋讀，銅質(zhì)精良，鑄造極其工整。現(xiàn)存世已不多，價(jià)格頗高，為古錢珍品。
In 9 A.D., Wang Mang usurped the Han Dynasty and established the "new" Dynasty. In the second year of the founding of the people's Republic of China (10 A.D.), he carried out the third monetary reform, casting six springs and ten cloth, including ten kinds of cloth: Xiaobu 100, yaobu 200, youbu 300, xubu 400, Dianbu 500, Zhongbu 600, Zhuangbu 700, Dibu 800, Dibu 900 and Dabu Huangqian. The characters are exquisite, hanging needle and Zhuan, and the surface characters are read anticlockwise from the top right. The copper quality is excellent and the casting is extremely neat.
