The full name of thousand hand Guanyin is "thousand hand and thousand eye Guanyin" or "thousand eye and thousand arm Guanyin", which is one of the six Guanyin of Tantrism. If you count it carefully in front of the thousand handed Avalokitesvara statue, you will find that the thousand handed Avalokitesvara actually has only forty-two hands, so why is it called the thousand handed Avalokitesvara? According to the Buddhist scriptures, Guanyin once vowed to help all living beings, but all living beings are numerous and powerful. So Guanyin became forty-two great compassion Bodhisattvas, aiming to "improve work efficiency.". The master of Avalokitesvara saw the truth without measure. He advised him not to be impatient, otherwise he would not be able to achieve it.
Immeasurable Buddha brought together forty-two individuals, leaving only forty-two arms, and let each palm grow an eye, representing an avatar. In this way, apart from the two arms of the subject, there are 40 arms. Each arm is equipped with 25 "yous" in the three realms of Buddhism (that is, 25 living environments of all beings in the three realms). The product of the two numbers is 1000, so it is called thousand hand thousand eye Guanyin, commonly known as "thousand hand Guanyin". Most of them are standing figures. This is to show the immenseness of Guanyin's compassion by means of figurative exaggeration.
Thousands of Guanyin's thousands of hands are arranged in fan-shaped layers, like peacock opening screen, which is very spectacular. Due to the complexity of the original image, the drawing process is also very difficult. It should be a top-quality work. The master's thousand hand Guanyin is very grand and magnificent, and the drawing of thousand hand is also very delicate, without the disadvantages of fuzzy confusion
