觀音菩薩 也稱觀自在菩薩，觀音菩薩是“南無大慈大悲救苦救難廣大靈感觀世音菩薩摩訶薩”的簡稱。又作南無觀世音、師子無畏音、大慈柔軟音、大梵清凈音、大光普照音、 天人丈夫音、能施眾生樂、濟度生死岸等。因觀世音菩薩曾經發愿，任何人在遇到無論任何災難時，只要一心虔誠念誦觀世音菩薩的圣號時，即會得到觀世音菩薩的救度——“觀其音聲，皆得解脫”，因此，名為“觀世音菩薩”。
