大清銅幣戶部造鄂字版，錢幣正面珠圈內鈐有“大清銅幣”四字，幣心凸起處能看出有一鄂字，乃是湖北省的簡稱；珠圈外上環滿文，滿文左右有干支紀年“丙午”字樣，左右分列“戶部”二字，注明由此幣的發行部門；下環覆滿青銹，但仍可看出其幣值“當制錢十文”字樣。 錢幣背面中央為部頒大清龍圖案，表現出了當時的國際政治、經濟、文化的交融，極具歷史意義。

1906年，清政俯下令停鑄“光緒元寶”，改鑄“大清銅幣”，并頒布統一的祖模，命各地仿鑄。故全國共二十個省局鑄造的“大清銅幣”，盡皆鐫鑄干支年號，無一例外。現存世的清代“大清銅幣”當十，共發現乙巳、丙午、丁未（光緒三十三年，1907年）、戊申（光緒三十四年，1908年）、己酉（宣統元年，1909年）、辛亥（宣統三年，1911年）六種年號。
