所謂的豬寶，就是豬膽囊、膽管、肝管等中的結石，形狀呈橢圓形，巨細紛歧，外表呈淺黃色，或灰玄色的，外貌粗拙，長著兩三厘米長的毛。他用手摸上去，毛質地較硬。有一股腥味，他用刀將毛切開，發現內里是黃色的時間久了就會呈現灰白色，，外貌有少許光澤。被有些有些山區農村人稱之豬寶，又叫豬砂，用途很大，醫用價值很高。
