銀元是舶來品，它初入中國，大約是在明朝，但大量流入，則在清乾隆年間(18世紀中期)以后。銀元最先在與海外聯系密切的廣東、福建使用，隨后流行于東南地區及北京。清末流行于中國的外國銀元不下幾十種，其中最為常見的有西班牙銀元、墨西哥鷹洋、英國和日本銀元等。我國銀元于清光緒年間開始正式由官方鑄造。民國初期，銀元作為主要流通貨幣開始大量鑄造。
1907年（光緒33年），清廷將奉天、吉林和黑龍江合稱為東三省。并將奉天和吉林兩省的造幣廠合并，稱為東三省造幣廠。當年由天津戶部造幣總廠代鑄東三省造光緒元寶一套。而宣統元年(1909年)東三省造幣廠僅開鑄庫平一錢四分四厘的銀幣。東三省一圓、半圓銀元鑄造極稀，很難看到，反而是1.44銀毫，俗稱貳角鑄造有量，由于其眾多的不同版別，被銀元收藏者們稱之為普品中大頭，版別研究探討也比較深。
東三省銀幣，在清代銀元中知名度較高，主要因為龍的藝術造型優美，氣勢磅礴，騰云駕霧，工藝精湛，可以說是清代銀幣鑄造中的一個高峰。雖然東三省所鑄造的銀元枚數不多，但版別設計卻非常豐富，是其他銀幣鑄造所不能攀比的。
這組銀元是東三省造宣統元寶庫平一錢四分四厘，直徑：23.2mm，重：5.3g。幣面上緣環書“東三省造”，下緣環書“庫平一錢四分四厘”。10分鐘位和50分鐘位各有一顆五角（實）星，星上下各有一顆小五角星。中心由67顆“珠圓 圍成圓圈，內書“宣統元寶”中心為滿文“宣統寶”，幣邊緣有齒成環。幣背中心為全鱗蟠龍，龍口有珠，尾下少云。上緣環書英文FIRST YEAR OF HSUAN TUNG(紀年--宣統元年)；下緣環書：MANCHURIAN PROVINCES （東北省）幣中無“珠圓”，幣邊有細齒成環。邊道為直齒。

It is difficult to see that the round and semi-circular silver coins in the three eastern provinces are extremely thin. Instead, they are 1.44 silver cents, commonly known as the number of corner casting. The silver coins of the three eastern provinces are well-known in the silver yuan of the Qing Dynasty. They are mainly due to the beautiful shape of the dragon's art, the magnificent spirit, the clouds and fog, and the exquisite craftsmanship. They can be said to be a peak in the casting of silver coins in the Qing Dynasty. Although the number of silver coins cast in the three eastern provinces is small, the edition design is very rich and can not be compared with other silver coins.
This group of silver yuan is made in the three provinces of XuantongDiameter: 23.2 mm, weight: 5.3 G.Yuanbao Kuping with four cents and four cents.
