近日，有幸征集到"丁丑年大明元寶四十八兩"一件，這件大明元寶，寶銀的兩端呈圓孤形并向上隆起，高翹如船狀，整個銀錠呈馬蹄形，其面有三行楷書銘文：左為“丁丑年造”，右為“四十八兩”，中間是四個楷書大字“大明元寶”，“寶”字中部寫法從二“王”，均是陽文。經實測，這枚銀錠形制比較標準，造型統一，元寶正面通長107mm，厚度60mm，上下端等寬55mm，闊腰處寬63mm，底面通長61mm，上下端等寬38mm，腰寬43mm。表面凹陷，錠面隱約可見澆鑄冷卻后形成的水波紋，底坐略有凸凹呈蜂窩狀，銀錠鑄造細膩，有簡陋打磨過的痕跡。銀錠全身硬綠，銹斑厚處達5毫米，品相完美，實屬精品。具有極高的收藏價值。
Recently, I was lucky enough to collect a piece of "Daming silver ingot made in the year of ding Chou 48liang". the two ends of this piece of Daming silver ingot are rounded and bulged upward, and the whole piece of silver ingot is shaped like a boat, with three lines of regular script inscriptions on its surface: left is "made in the year of ding Chou", right is "48liang", and the middle is four regular script characters "Daming silver ingot" and the middle part of the word "Bao" is written from two "kings", both in yang script. According to the actual measurement, this silver ingot is relatively standard in shape and uniform in shape. The front of the ingot is 107mm in overall length, 60mm in thickness, 55mm in equal width at the upper and lower ends, 63mm in width at the broad waist, 61mm in overall length at the bottom, 38mm in equal width at the upper and lower ends, and 43mm in waist width. The surface of the ingot is sunken, and the surface of the ingot is faintly visible with water ripples formed after casting and cooling. The bottom seat is slightly convex and concave and honeycomb-shaped. The silver ingot is finely cast with traces of crude polishing. The silver ingot is hard and green all over, with rust spots up to 5mm thick. Its appearance is perfect and it is really a fine product. Has extremely high collection value.

大明元寶為萬歷14年所鑄歷經542年。近年來隨著銀錠市場的蘇醒，特別是在港澳臺和新加坡地區，明清銀錠屢拍高價，以至于大明元寶真品實數希罕。元寶的兩頭呈圓孤形并向上隆起，高翹如船狀，整個銀錠呈馬蹄形，其面有三行楷書銘文：右為“丁丑年”，左為“四十八兩”，中央是四個楷書大字“大明元寶”，外貌凹陷，錠面隱約可見澆鑄冷卻后形成的水波紋，重量達1460克。銀錠鑄造細膩，有簡陋打磨過的痕跡，品相完美，實屬精品。
