The cornucopia is a treasure in Chinese folktales. It is said that the reason why Shen Wansan became rich in the early Ming Dynasty was due to his possession of a cornucopia. This allusion comes from Zhou Renlong's collection of different lights: "in the early Ming Dynasty, when Shen wansanwei saw fishermen holding more than 100 frogs, filing things up, buying them with their own hands, and leaving them in the pool." Later, it was loud and could not sleep when it was close to the ear. In the morning, it was driven away. It was found that frogs were all surrounded by a tile basin. Otherwise, they would be regarded as hand washing tools. Wansan's wife left a silver hairpin in the basin. The silver hairpin is full, which can't be counted. It's the same with money and silver. It's the world of wealth. Most of the traditional mascots in our country are real objects, such as bottles, mirrors, Sheng, Qing, Qian, Hu, etc. However, just as animals and plants are the products of concept creation, utensils are also fabricated because they do not exist in reality, and the cornucopia is a typical one.
In this paper, there are two treasure basins, each of which has a diameter of 46 cm and a height of 12 cm. The whole body is bright, the coating is smooth and ripe, the light is steady, revealing a trace of warm years. This group of treasure basins are all porcelain bodies, with ancient copper color and silver glaze, silver plating on the outer wall, bright and clean like silver ware, dignified and generous shape, thick carcass, carved porcelain technology, high relief carving, exquisite dragon and phoenix patterns, lifelike look, and auspicious dragon and Phoenix. In the center of the basin is carved the dragon and Phoenix. Around it are engraved the twelve characters of "gold for day", "wealth from all directions" and "treasure for money". The picture is vivid and implies auspiciousness. It has the beauty of gathering wealth, good luck and prosperity. The four character "Guangxu year system" of the bottom tribe is surrounded by dragon and Phoenix. The dragon and Phoenix are lifelike and of great artistic value. It is worth collecting.
Dragon and phoenix pattern is an eternal theme in the porcelain of official kilns of all ages in China. In feudal times, dragon is the symbol of the emperor. It represents the emperor invisibly. In the era of strict hierarchy, even the princes and ministers look at the five clawed dragon and walk. Four claws are Python and five claws are dragon. Only the royal family can use a five clawed dragon with the same shape. One more claw will cause death. In the Qing Dynasty, dragon patterns were dignified, full-bodied in the back of the head, and strong in body. They shook the world with their behemoth. The bottom payment "Guangxu year system" is for the exclusive use of the royal family in Jingdezhen official kiln porcelain during the Guangxu year of the Qing Dynasty. During the Guangxu period, most of the wares and ornaments were in pursuit of richness and splendor, and their shapes were also complex and varied. The ornaments were characterized by complexity and magnificence. In this paper, the collection value and historical value of this group of treasure basins were very high.
