1997年4月1日起，第四套人民幣部分幣種停止發(fā)行。2018年5月1日起，100元、50元、10元、5元、2元、1元、2角紙幣和1角硬幣停止流通，1角、5角紙幣和5角、1元硬幣還在繼續(xù)流通。2019年4月30日停止兌換。
