朱磊先生自幼受家庭的熏陶，酷愛書法藝術。他喜歡戲曲，愛好收藏，精通醫學。近年來其書法作品不斷在全國書法大展中獲獎，是一位有才、有識、有實力的青年書法家，也是在當今書壇很受關注的青年書家之一，被譽為“博學多才、前途無量”的一顆耀眼新星。作品先后得到了沈鵬、歐陽中石、張海、趙長青等權威書法大家的好評。他書寫的“厚德載物”、“天道酬勤”、“家和萬事興”、“觀海聽濤”、“惠風和暢”、“寧靜致遠”等作品，被廣大收藏家、企業家及黨政機關領導、部隊首長收藏。

他的代表巨作《念奴嬌•赤壁懷古》，其書法線條遒勁、筆墨厚重、結構嚴謹，看得出他在書法方面的用心程度。其書有較為扎實的傳統功底，并能融多家之長，自成面貌。作為青年書法家，在他正處在文藝創作與中醫學研究課題的關鍵時刻，卻不幸于2012年5月9日患上中晚期胃癌，幸而被及時切除。在這種條件下，他依然能夠堅持不斷書學練字，實屬難能可貴。書法之美，在于其能通過千變萬化的線條、豐富多姿的結體傳遞出書法家的心靈之美。朱磊先生通過書法這種媒介形式，寫出了對藝術深深的酷愛，彰顯了他作為一名書法家不向病魔低頭的恒心與決心。他把滿腔的赤子情懷都注入到了其書作之中，使他的作品不僅在視覺上感染人，而且在情感上打動人。“精誠所致，金石為開”，前不久他去醫院復查一切正常。真是奇跡出現，正所謂書寫書法能延年益壽，調節身心。

不管我們有多年輕，離老都只有一步的距離，這一步就在天地之間。我們應該盡己所能為老人們獻一點愛心。這是朱磊先生“愛心新疆行”之前所說。從中原到新疆只有空間距離，沒有心的距離。朱磊先生一直牽掛著邊疆需要幫助的老人。他最大的心愿是用自己的書法作品，用真心和孝心為新疆的老人們送去愛心和溫暖。2012年8月5日，朱磊先生從河南省鄭州市抵達烏魯木齊，隨后前往石河子、奎屯等地。他帶來了自己的書法作品，作品兩次義賣所得的13萬元及7萬元人民幣，分別捐給當地的兩所養老院。同時，他還為老人們講授書法創作技藝及養生之道。為此《新疆法制報》于2012年8月10日刊發了“青年書法家朱磊新疆行”捐贈的消息。前不久，朱磊先生又為“中國書法之鄉”鄲城縣秋渠鄉劉小寨學校捐贈資金和物資共計10萬元修建學校。《周口日報》于2013年5月3日在頭版刊發他“善舉”的消息。朱磊先生書法作品尤以“壽”、“福”字見長，深得國內外收藏者的青睞。他傾注“才氣、勇氣、智慧、韌性”的書法作品吸引了大量青年書法愛好者的熱烈追捧。朱磊先生此番“愛心新疆行、愛心鄲城行”，亦以“壽”、“福”字墨寶表達了自己祝福新疆及河南老人們健康長壽的愿望。

The 130000 yuan and 70000 yuan from the two charity sales were donated to two local nursing homes. At the same time, he also taught the old people calligraphy skills and the way to maintain their lives. For this reason, on August 10, 2012, Xinjiang legal journal published the news of donation of Zhu Lei, a young calligrapher, to Xinjiang. Not long ago, Mr. Zhu Lei donated funds and materials totaling 100000 yuan to build the school in liuxiaozhai, qiuqu Township, Dancheng County, the "hometown of Chinese calligraphy". On May 3, 2013, Zhoukou daily published his "benevolence" on its front page. Mr. Zhu Lei's calligraphy works are especially good at "longevity" and "blessing", which are favored by collectors at home and abroad. His calligraphy works of "talent, courage, wisdom and tenacity" attracted a large number of young calligraphy lovers.
