大觀通寶，銅質，宋徽宗大觀元年（1107年）鑄造，該枚銅錢呈橄欖綠色，外圓方穿，正背兩面均有內外廓。其正面有鑄文“大觀通寶”四字，直讀，錢文為宋徽宗親書的“瘦金體”。素背。地張平滑（地張：錢幣內外廓之間除文字的部分），上沾有少量土漬，穿郭勻稱規整，整體造型古樸美觀。錢文“大觀通寶”字體纖秀細挺，氣韻貫通，字口無一絲粘連，“通”字為宋代方頭通（通字“甬”頭寫作方形）。“大觀通寶”四個字，有簡有繁，在圓錢上本不易處理得當，但該錢文部署、配置得恰到好處，令人賞心悅目，精美絕倫。由大小推斷，此錢應為大觀通寶當十錢。
合背錢，顧名思義，是指兩枚錢的“背”合鑄在一起，鑄出的錢，兩面完全是同樣的錢文。這大概是在鑄錢時，有的工匠合錯了范，誤將兩塊面文范合在一起了；也有的是為了某種需要而特鑄的，如宗教迷信或民俗活動等方面的需要。在合背時，兩面如同一個方向的稱“正合背”；如是一正一反的稱“倒合背”；如是一橫一豎的稱“十字合背”等等。
宋徽宗書法、繪畫造詣極高，其獨辟蹊徑創造的“瘦金體”楷書，被認為是中國書法史上最燦爛的一筆。“瘦金體”以硬毫作書，法度嚴謹、結構緊密；瘦挺爽利、冷艷如蘭；筆法蒼勁、筆墨不浮，既表現了書畫家的筆老氣足，又顯得風神飄逸。
北宋在流行御書錢，即皇帝親書錢文，宋徽宗亦將瘦金體書法應用到了錢幣書法中去。宋徽宗在鑄錢上投入了極大的熱情，他與王莽、咸豐皇帝共稱為中國古代三大鑄幣能手。他在位時期，錢監林立，鑄造了大量的形態、錢文各異的錢幣，一直以來學界都認為徽宗朝的錢幣是中國方孔錢中制作最精美的，并將這一時期形容為中國錢幣藝術的頂峰，宋徽宗在位期間共用了建中靖國、崇寧、大觀、政和、重和、宣和六個年號，鑄造了一種非年號錢和五種年號錢。其中建中靖國年間，因年號為四個字，不適于為錢文，也不能仿太平興國年間的例子鑄建中錢，因建中是唐朝的年號，故鑄圣宋元寶、通寶，傳世極少。崇寧年間，鑄崇寧重寶、通寶、元寶錢，均有銅、鐵兩種。通寶銅錢以當十錢為主，小平次之。重寶則只有銅、鐵當十大錢。政和通寶、重寶鑄于政和年間，銅鐵皆有，錢文對讀，小平、折二錢分篆、隸、真三體，版別復雜。折三錢只有鐵錢。重寶為折二型鐵錢，真書體。重和年間鑄重和通寶，僅有小平銅錢，此錢制作精致，文字秀美，錢文對讀，篆、隸成對，但重和時短，所鑄錢遺留下來的甚少。
中國古錢幣收藏市場極度火爆，由于“大觀通寶”是不可再生之物，“大觀通寶”鑄期短暫，在一千年前存世量也并不多，如今能流傳下來“大觀通寶”價值連城，具有無法估量的收藏和歷史價值。如今“大觀通寶”早已被各大收藏家和博物館搜刮而去，唯有在高端交易會上偶爾能見到“大觀通寶”身影。合背錢在大量流通的貨幣中可謂鳳毛麟角，且不易發現，也正因此而為古錢幣收藏者所特別珍愛。
Daguan Tongbao is made of copper. It was cast in the first year of Daguan (1107), Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty. The copper coin is olive green, round and square on the outside, with both sides of the front and back. On the front, there are four characters of "daguantongbao", which can be read directly. Qian Wen is a "thin gold style" written by Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty. Plain back. The four characters of "grand view and Tongbao" are simple and complex. It's not easy to deal with the money properly, but the money is arranged and configured properly, which is pleasing to the eyes and exquisite. According to size, this money should be ten yuan for Daguan Tongbao.
As the name implies, the "back" of two coins is cast together. The two sides of the coin are exactly the same coin. This may be due to the fact that some craftsmen made a mistake in combining the two pieces of writing together, or some made it for some needs, such as religious superstition or folk activities. When the two sides are in the same direction, they are called "right back"; if they are in the same direction, they are called "reverse back"; if they are in the same direction, they are called "cross back" and so on.

During the reign of Huizong in Song Dynasty, he shared the six years of Jianzhong Jingguo, Chongning, Daguan, Zhenghe, Chonghe, Xuanhe, casting a kind of non money. During the reign of Chonghe, there was only copper coin of Xiaoping, which was exquisite in making and beautiful in writing. The coins were read in pairs, with Zhuan and Li in pairs. However, the time of Chonghe was short and there was little left.

Because "daguantongbao" is a non renewable object, the casting period of "daguantongbao" is short, and there were not many existing coins a thousand years ago.
