湖北省造光緒元寶“當(dāng)十”銅幣，于1898年發(fā)行，成色為91％。正面鑄有銘文，頂部鑄楷體“湖北省造”，底部鑄“當(dāng)十”標(biāo)識(shí)，中心直讀“光緒元寶”四字，幣中心還有八瓣花。銅幣背面外圈頂部余部用小號(hào)英文標(biāo)準(zhǔn)字體銘“大清帝國(guó)銅幣”字樣，內(nèi)圈鑄有正面騰云五爪龍一只，品相精致。
"Dangshi" copper coin, a gold ingot treasure made by guangxu emperor in hubei province, was issued in 1898 with a maturity of 91%. There are inscriptions on the front, the top is "made in hubei province", the bottom is "when ten", the center reads "guangxu ingot", and the center has eight petals. The upper part of the outer ring on the back of the copper coin is marked with the inscription "imperial copper coin of the qing dynasty" in small English standard font. The inner ring is cast with a five-claw dragon on the front, which is exquisite in appearance.
光緒元寶是清朝光緒年間流通的貨幣之一。由湖北兩廣總督張之洞率先引進(jìn)英國(guó)鑄幣機(jī)器鑄造銀元和銅元，之后各省紛紛仿效。共有十九個(gè)省局鑄造，除中央戶部，地方省所鑄銅元，皆在其正面上緣鐫寫省名。
Guangxu yuanbao was one of the currencies in circulation during the reign of emperor guangxu of the qing dynasty. Zhang zhidong, governor of hubei province and guangdong province, was the first to introduce the British coinage machine to cast silver and copper yuan. Altogether 19 provincial bureau are cast, divide central door ministry, place of place province is cast copper yuan, all engrave province name on its front edge.
