The French Indochina trade silver dollar, commonly known as sitting ocean, was one of the foreign silver dollars circulating in China in the late qing dynasty. Silver dollar on the front side of the Greek statue of liberty, this is "sitting on the ocean," the reason for the name. Sit Yang's predecessor was the French government in cochin ** (southern Vietnam regime) in 1879. He began to mint 10, 20, 50 and 1 coin cochin **. By 1885, the annan government of France began to mint a silver dollar in 1885 in order to resist the Mexican and American silver COINS.
The face value of $1 can be divided into three types: weight, number and mark. The silver dollar was first minted in 1885 and was not minted until 1928. However, the commemorative COINS were not minted. They were dated 1892, 1911, 1912, 1914, 1920 and 1923 respectively. Among these 32 years, the 11 years from 1885 to 1895 and 1905 weighed 27.215 grams. These years were slightly heavier than the others, and they were called weighted versions.
