“快馬飛生耳后風(fēng)，浮麋數(shù)肋中無(wú)空。漫言刻玉占佳兆，發(fā)羽抨弦屢此同。”這是乾隆皇帝詠贊玉扳指的一首御詩(shī)，一生愛(ài)玉的他，對(duì)扳指情有獨(dú)鐘。千百年來(lái)，從當(dāng)初的弓射實(shí)用器發(fā)展成為賞玩的對(duì)象，小小的玉扳指上，記錄了中華悠久文化的源遠(yuǎn)流長(zhǎng)，也成為收藏界的一道亮麗風(fēng)景。扳指是比較晚的名詞，中國(guó)最早對(duì)它的稱呼是韘(She)，何謂佩韘，《說(shuō)文》記載：“韘，玦也，能射御則帶韘。”即指佩韘是表示具有射御的能力。扳指初見(jiàn)于商代，在春秋、戰(zhàn)國(guó)甚為流行。清代以民族軍事力量奪取天下，射箭作為冷兵器時(shí)代重要的個(gè)人軍事技能，因此清朝軍事力量的核心武裝——八旗，對(duì)此物甚為重視，滿洲軍民通用鹿骨扳指，滿語(yǔ)叫“憨得憨”，幾乎人手一枚，因而成習(xí)。入關(guān)以后，舉天下以奉養(yǎng)八旗，不勞而獲，待遇優(yōu)厚，八旗風(fēng)氣日漸奢靡，扳指這種軍事器械漸漸成為一種極為時(shí)髦的飾品，八旗子弟爭(zhēng)相以貴重材質(zhì)制作扳指，相互攀比炫耀。最終，形成了上自皇帝與王公大臣，下至滿蒙各旗子弟，以及附庸風(fēng)雅的富商巨賈，雖尊卑不同而皆喜佩戴的風(fēng)氣。

This kind of military equipment gradually became a very fashionable ornament. The Eight Banners' children competed to make their fingers with precious materials and compared with each other to show off. In the end, it has formed a fashion that the emperor and the princes and ministers, the children of Manchu and Mongolian banners, and the rich businessmen who are attached to mediocrity and elegance all like to wear although they have different dignity and inferiority.
黃龍玉最初人稱。它有著田黃般的顏色、翡翠的硬度，硬度好、透度高、色彩鮮艷豐富。由于其產(chǎn)在龍陵，又以黃色為主色，故最終得名為黃龍玉。目前，從鑒賞角度可分為“原生黃龍玉”和“雕件黃龍玉”兩種。黃龍玉主要產(chǎn)自云南省保山市龍陵縣小黑山自然保護(hù)區(qū)及周邊的蘇帕河流域，距離緬甸翡翠產(chǎn)區(qū)非常近，同屬于亞歐板塊和印度洋板塊相互擠壓而成的滇緬寶玉石成礦帶。黃龍玉是2004年在云南龍陵被發(fā)現(xiàn)的一種新玉種。其主色調(diào)為黃、紅兩色，兼有羊脂白、青白、黑、灰、綠等色。有“黃如金、紅如血、白如冰、烏如墨”之稱。具體說(shuō)：黃的有金黃、蜜黃、蛋黃、雞油黃、橘黃、枇杷黃等深淺不一的黃色。紅的有雞血紅、朱砂紅、豬肝紅、玫瑰紅、淺紅、水紅等；白的有雪白、冰白等。2011年2月，黃龍玉即被國(guó)家正式收錄進(jìn)入《國(guó)家珠寶玉石名錄》，成為與翡翠、和田玉同等位置的天然玉石。
