遼代瓷器有白釉黑釉白釉黑花瓷。陶器有黃、綠、黑、白單色和黃、綠、白三彩釉陶。民窯制品胎質粗糙，均施化妝土。白瓷釉白微黃，胎色白帶紅、黑色雜質點；黑釉瓷釉色純黑；白釉黑花瓷胎色白,黑花呈色黑黃官窯白瓷胎質細白，釉色純白或白中泛青，釉質瑩潤，佳者與定窯上品相類，有的于器底刻“官”或“新官”款。北京發(fā)現(xiàn)的遼應歷八年(985)遼贈齊王趙德鈞墓和赤峰發(fā)現(xiàn)的應歷九年(986)遼駙馬墓出土的“官”和“新官”款白瓷盤、碗是遼早期受定窯技藝影響的作品。北京遼重熙二十二年(1053)王澤墓、內蒙古昭盟遼壽昌五年(1099)尚墓和山西大同臥虎灣2號遼墓都出土有精美的白瓷。黑釉瓷胎質細白，釉色黑中閃綠，積釉處如堆脂，光澤較強；白釉黑花瓷的胎色白中閃黃，有黑色雜質點；單色釉和三彩釉陶器的胎質細軟，作淡紅色，施化妝土。官窯三彩色釉嬌艷光潔，民窯三彩色釉鮮艷不足，釉層易剝落。白釉陶器釉質欠潤澤，白釉上點綠彩者頗為美觀。遼陽統(tǒng)和四年(984)耶律延寧墓、法庫葉茂臺遼墓、朝陽前窗戶村遼墓出土的黃、醬和綠色釉陶器及錦西大安五年(1089)蕭孝忠墓出土的黃釉與三彩釉陶器，具有遼彩釉陶器的典型風貌。

The "official" and "new official" white porcelain plates and bowls found in the tomb of Zhao Dejun, king of Qi, and the tomb of Yingli's son-in-law in the ninth year of Yingli (986), discovered in Beijing in the eighth year of Yingli period (985) and in Chifeng period (986), are works influenced by Ding kiln technique in the early Liao Dynasty. There are exquisite white porcelain unearthed in wangze tomb in the 22nd year of Chongxi reign (1053), Shangmu tomb in the 5th year of liaoshouchang reign (1099), ZHAOMENG League, Inner Mongolia, and Liao tomb No.2, wohuwan, Datong, Shanxi. The body of black glaze porcelain is fine white, the color of glaze is black and medium bright green, the place where glaze accumulates is like fat pile, with strong luster; the body of white glaze and black flower porcelain is white and medium bright yellow, with black impurity spots; the body of monochromatic glaze and tricolor glaze ceramics is fine and soft, making light red and applying makeup soil. The three color glazes of the official kilns are delicate and bright, the three color glazes of the civil kilns are not bright enough, and the glaze layer is easy to peel off. The glaze of white glazed pottery is not smooth, and the green color on the white glaze is quite beautiful. The yellow, sauce and green glazed pottery unearthed from Yilv Yanning tomb, yemaotai tomb in Faku, liaomu tomb in qianwindowcun, Chaoyang in 984 and xiaoxiaoxiaozhong tomb in 1089 in Da'an, Jinxi have the typical features of Liao colored glazed pottery.
遼代陶瓷器多為酒具、茶具、盛食具、貯藏器和日用雜器。大都為民窯產品，也有供遼皇室和契丹貴族使用的官窯制品。民窯產品粗樸，官窯產品精致。已發(fā)現(xiàn)重要陶瓷窯址7處。其中民窯4處，為遼寧林東南山窯、林東單償廁鍛丿蹬搽拳敞嘩白音戈勒窯、遼陽江官屯窯、山西大同青海窯村窯；官窯4處，為遼寧林東上京窯、內蒙古赤峰缸瓦窯和北京龍泉務窯。中華人民共和國建立以來，遼寧、黑龍江、吉林、河北、山西、內蒙古和北京地區(qū)的遼契丹貴族墓和漢人墓中均出土有遼窯燒制的白瓷和醬、黃、綠色釉及三彩陶器。傳世品中遼陶瓷以黃、綠單色和黃綠白三彩釉陶居多。

Since the founding of the people's Republic of China, Liao Qidan noble tombs and Han Tombs in Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia and Beijing have unearthed white porcelain, sauce, yellow, green glaze and tricolor pottery fired in Liao kilns. Among the handed down Zhongliao ceramics, yellow, green monochromatic and yellow green white three color glazed ceramics are the most common.
