京局”庚子系列銀幣是中國近代機制幣中的珍罕品，全套共五枚，面值分別為七錢二分、三錢六分、一錢四分四厘、七分二厘、三分六厘。1899年（光緒二十五年），清廷以造幣為中央特有之權，而各省設廠過多，規定除粵鄂南北洋四局外一律停鑄，但同時又批準在京師籌辦銀元局，此即所謂“京局”之由來。由于1900年義和團烽火燎原并波及北京，京局并沒有得以正式運行，只試鑄了很少量的貳角及壹角樣幣。1900年6月22日京局在義和團攻打附近的奧地利使館時毀于戰火。有資料記載當時有工人搶救出貳角及壹角銀幣各數枚和全套五種幣模，除壹角幣模京局連同相關檔案毀于庚子之亂，使其成為中國機制幣中最具神秘色彩的品種。

這枚龍洋屬于高純度銀質，龍洋的正面版圖上的周邊雋有排布均勻的細齒狀條，里面雋一周分布勻稱的凸起的圓點珠環，銀幣的正中，分上下左右刻制光緒元寶四字，在光緒元寶的中央位置又刻鑄有滿文的光緒元寶字樣，在凸起的珠環與齒狀花紋的中間的頂端位置上刻制有京劇制造的楷體字本，中間位置有正反方向的庚子兩個文字，代表著鑄造的年號。下方刻有庫平七錢二分六個正楷字樣。
