1915年12月12日，袁世凱宣布接受帝位，復辟帝制，廢除共和政體，改中華民國為中華帝國，廢除民國紀年，改民國五年(公元1916年)為洪憲元年，史稱"洪憲帝制"。是年設計鑄造了袁世凱高纓像中華帝國洪憲紀元飛龍銀幣。該幣由意大利雕版師魯爾智·喬治雕模，天津造幣廠鑄造。銀幣的規格為庫平七錢二分，成色高，含銀量為90%。
洪憲飛龍銀幣正面為袁世凱九分臉正面及胸像，面部稍左側。袁世凱身著大元帥服，頭戴鷺羽高纓冠，胸前佩戴大勛章。背面中央為飛龍圖案，上面鐫"中華帝國"4字，下面鐫"洪憲紀元"4字，齒邊。
此枚錢幣收藏價值巨大，存世量極少，十分值得進行收藏欣賞。
On December 12, 1915, Yuan Shikai announced that he would accept the throne, restore the monarchy, abolish the Republican government, change the Republic of China to the Chinese Empire, abolish the Republic of China, and change the Republic of China for five years(1916 AD) to the first year of Hong Xian, known as "Hong Xian Emperor system." It was the year that Yuan Shikai was designed and cast like the Chinese Empire Hongxian era Feilong silver coin. The coin was carved by the Italian engraving of Shiluerzhi·qiaozhi and minted by the Tianjin Mint. The specification of silver coins is two points for Kuping, with a high color and a silver content of 90 %.
Hong Xian Feilong's silver coin front is Yuan Shikai's nine-face front and chest image, with a slightly left face. Yuan Shikai dressed in the Grand Marshal's suit, wearing a high crown of Lu Yu and wearing a large medal on his chest. The center of the back is a dragon pattern, with 4 characters of "Chinese Empire" on the top and 4 characters of "Hongxianjiyuan" on the bottom.
This coin collection is of great value and has very little survival. It is very worth collecting and appreciating.
