民國三年一九一四年。北洋軍閥政府正式鑄造袁世凱頭像銀幣。先在天津造幣廠鑄造袁大頭壹圓金幣。后在南京廣東武昌等造幣廠陸續(xù)鑄造。民國時(shí)期。軍閥混戰(zhàn)。各地軍閥紛紛私鑄袁大頭。導(dǎo)致存世的袁大頭質(zhì)量良莠不齊。而袁大頭金幣。多作為紀(jì)念幣。鑄造量甚少。存世量極罕。
背面中央鐫幣值“壹圓”二字，托以嘉禾二本，左右交互，下系結(jié)帶。此枚銀幣鑄工精美，雕工深峻，邊齒銳利，光可鑒人，包漿自然，品相完好，值得收藏。袁大頭是民國初年人像幣中最為珍罕的品種之一，堪稱民國幣中的極致之作。由于簽字版未曾正式流通使用，存世不多，保存得如此完好的一枚錢幣，具有極高的收藏價(jià)值和投資價(jià)值。
