該幣為‘湖南省造當制錢雙旗銅幣’一枚，品相保存完整，文字清晰可見，表面有輕微磨損，該幣正面圖案中央為兩面交叉的國旗，上方為“湖南省造”4個字，下面為記值：當制錢二十文。背面圖案為稻穗組成的嘉禾紋，周邊并有英文標注”TWENTY CASH”。
錢幣正面中央左為星旗、右為五色旗，兩面國旗上系結帶相互交叉，外緣上鑄“湖南省造”四字，下鑄紀值“當制錢二十文”，左右分列花枝；錢幣背面中央為稻穗組成的嘉禾紋禾穗，紋飾別致，邊緣環英文，保存較為完好。此枚錢幣做工精美，錢文明晰，包漿極為濃厚，品相較佳。
