清代青花喜字罐在當時確實是非常的典型器物。雖然屬于民窯的東西，但其實能完整保存至今也實屬不易，因為古人只在婚嫁時期才會特意燒制定制喜字蓋罐，由于是頗具意義的器物，因此不會像一般碗碟瓷盤那么多。
清中晚期青花瓷器使用國產浙料繪制花紋，發色與乾隆晚期常見青花近似，呈色大多深藍，濃艷而略有暈散。也有淺淡閃灰或稍微鮮亮的，呈色比較穩定，少有暈散，另有淡描青花及漿胎青花，所占數量不多。嘉慶后期，有的青花瓷器的青花色調出現黑暗、淺藍和飄浮的現象。總的特點是出現渾藍，呈色飄浮刺目。除了傳統的白地青花外，有一些青花派生品種，如：青花紅彩描金、青花描金、青花礬紅彩、青花胭脂紫、青花釉里紅、黃地青花等，與乾隆朝相比品種要少得多。最早出現在清嘉慶年間，連續生產至民國初期，至今民間祖上為富豪大宅人家的家中仍可見到，這種青花喜字罐給民間婚嫁喜事增添了喜慶吉利的色彩，而且這件青花雙喜蓋罐還帶蓋，并保存完好，十分難得！
