此枚錢幣為中華民國八年造伍圓（袁大頭），直徑：45.4mm 重：38.26g。銀幣正面鐫大總統(tǒng)袁世凱五分臉側(cè)面像，肖像上端環(huán)鐫發(fā)行年號“中華民國八年造”，背面中央鐫幣值“伍圓”二字，托以嘉禾二本，左右交互，下系結(jié)帶。即使已是“百年高齡”，仍舊保存完好。其色澤光鮮自然，紋飾深淺適度，邊緣線條粗細均勻，間距也疏密一致，乃“袁大頭”銀元之精品。作為民國軍閥銀幣的領(lǐng)頭羊，袁大頭銀元的誕生，也是銀元發(fā)展的必然結(jié)果。
