冷軍，1963年生于四川。1984年畢業于武漢師范學院漢口分院藝術系?，F任武漢畫院副院長，國家一級美術師。在2007年9月22日下午閉幕的湖北省文學藝術界聯合會第八次代表大會，冷軍當選為省文聯副主席。其作品多次參加國內外大展，數次獲全國美展大獎，聲名海內外，是近年來大陸非常有影響的青年美術家。冷軍1984年畢業于武漢師范學院漢口分院藝術系。現任武漢畫院院長。主要藝術創作及活動年表：1993年作品《關于網的設計》獲93中國油畫年展銀獎。1994年作品《文物-新產品設計》獲第二屆中國油畫展藝術作品獎，并參加中國油畫百年展。1995年作品《世紀風景之二》獲’95第三屆中國油畫年展金獎。1999年作品《五角星》獲第九屆全國美展金獎。2000年參加“1979-1999世紀之門邀請展”，并在深圳美術館舉辦個展。2001年開始制作石版畫，作品《突變-有刺的剪刀》獲首屆中國小油畫大展優秀作品獎。2002年作品《工具箱》等六幅系列參加中國油畫三年展。作品多為國內外藝術機構及私人收藏。
